" The ATLAS Experiment at the LHC - Exploring the High-Energy Frontier of Particle Physics "

Abstract :
At CERN the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) project is almost ready for operation. The first collisions are expected for the end of 2007, and full physics exploitation at the energy frontier will start in mid-2008. In parallel to the collider construction the powerful general-purpose ATLAS detector is being assembled in the underground cavern by the world-wide collaboration. ATLAS will explore new domains of particle physics. After overviewing the LHC construction progress, the status of ATLAS will be presented, including examples of the exciting prospects for new physics.

" Searching for New Physics in B decays "

Abstract :
The study of CP violation at the B factories allows us to perform quantitative tests of the CP sector of the Standard Model. Accurate measurements of the sides and angles of the Unitarity Triangle determine the parameters rho and eta of the theory, while redundant measurements of the same quantities allow us to probe physics Beyond the Standard Model. The recent measurements of the B_s mixing frequency at the Tevatron have dramatically improved our knowledge of |V_td/V_ts|, the right side of the Unitarity Triangle. This opens up a new opportunity for probing New Physics through an independent determination of the same quantity. In this talk, I will discuss how such a measurement can be made using decays of B->rho gamma and B->K* gamma, and show our recent results.

 " Double Chooz; Reactor θ13 experiment in France "

Abstract :
The current most demanded experiment in neutrino physics is to measure the last mixing angle θ13. Double Chooz experiment is a reactor neutrino experiment to measure the θ13. The experiment measures the sin213 with 5 times better sensitivity than the current limit measured by the previous (single) Chooz experiment. The detector is now being prepared and it starts to take data from 2008. Recently a Japanese group has joined this experiment and is now playing an importnat role. In this talk, physics, detector, recent status and future prospects of the Double Chooz experiment will be described.

"Supersymmetry at LHC/ILC : From Tera to Planck-Scale "

Abstract :
Supersymmetry can provide solutions to central problems in the physics area beyond the Standard Model. The LHC and TeV e+e- linear colliders will be essential instruments to explore supersymmetric particles: Coherent LHC/LC analyses can draw a comprehensive and high-resolution picture of the supersymmetric sector at the Tera-scale. This may serve as solid platform for extrapolations to the fundamental physics area near the grand unification and Planck scale. The potential of such analyses will be exemplified for minimal supergravity, left-right symmetric extensions involving intermediate scales, and string effective theories.

"The Search for Higgs and SUSY -from the Tevatron to the LHC-"

Abstract :
The Fermilab proton-antiproton collider Tevatron is currently collecting data at a center-of-mass energy of 1.96 TeV. Based on data corresponding to an integrated luminosity of up to about 1 fb-1, the experiments CDF and D? have searched for the Higgs boson and for supersymmetric particles. In the present talk the status of these analyses is resented. In addition, the prospects for the searches of these particles at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) -presently under construction at CERN- are discussed, together with a brief overview of the status of the construction of the ATLAS detector and the LHC machine.

"Exclusive Higgs signals at the LHC"

Abstract :
A very brief review of inclusive SM Higgs signals. The advantages of exclusive diffractive signals, pp-->p+H+p followed by H-->bb. Calculation of the exclusive cross section and the bb background. Discussion of the exclusive signal to probe the SUSY Higgs sector. The observation of "standard candle" processes, exclusive dijet or diphoton production at the Tevatron, to check the formalism.

ヒッグス場、ダークエネルギーなど「真空」が注目をあびつつあります。 この真空の構造を強輝度レーザを用いて探る研究を行っています。今回は形式張らずに、 新しい実験を考える糧になる様、ざっくばらんに話を進めていきたいと思っています。
