Operating StructureAbout ICEPP
On April 1 2004, The University of Tokyo became an independent administrative entity, and ICEPP was reestablished as a cooperative research institute affiliated with the University of Tokyo for the purpose of accelerating research in elementary particle physics. Since 2010, ICEPP has been certified as a Joint Usage/Research Center by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT) , contributing to the progress of research, providing researchers in high energy physics with opportunities for various joint research. Under the direction of the Director, we are making efforts to contribute to further developments in physics in the 21st century.
Advisory Committee
This is a committee for engaging in discussions to facilitate joint-use researchers and providing advice regarding research results and plans to the Director. This committee is composed of members selected from inside ICEPP and outside members with academic careers (more than half are from outside the University of Tokyo).

Council
The council is composed of the director, all full-time professors of ICEPP, and deans and directors from outside ICEPP. This is a board for deliberating important issues of ICEPP, such as the recommendation of an incoming director to the President of the University of Tokyo and the appointment of staff members.
