Large Hadron Collider (LHC)


The Large Hadron Collider (LHC) is a future accelerator which will bring protons into head-on collision at the highest energies (14 TeV) ever achieved. It will be installed in the 27km-long LEP tunnel at CERN after the LEP experiments are terminated at the end of this century. Two experiments have been proposed to study the highest energy proton-proton collisions:
