Abstract

 
 Current status of BEPC/BESII will be reported. To meet the physics demands,
Chinese HEP community plans to have major upgrade of the machine and
detector
to BEPCII/BESIII. The machine will be a double ring collider, optimized at
the center
of mass energy of  3.78 GeV with a luminosity of 10 to 30 cm-2s-1, and the
detector
will be rebuilt almost entirely. The talk will cover the designs of machine
and detector.
